Rodrigo Cámara Leret is an Early Career Research Fellow at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. His current research focuses on synthesising biodiversity patterns in New Guinea and testing fundamental questions in ecology, biogeography and ethnobotany to underpin conservation planning. He is furthermore interested in tropical plant taxonomy, the traditional knowledge of indigenous communities, and in enhancing scientific capacity in the tropics.
