Conservation research and capacity-building are not happening where they are most needed: the world’s most biodiverse countries. Teaching and building scientific capacity are at the core of my work, and every year, I strive to contribute to training the next generation of tropical biologists:

Training of National park rangers of the Sierra Nevada del Cocuy National Park to establish long-term monitoring plots at 4300m to study the effects of climate change in the superpáramo vegetation.

Tropical Plant Identification course
